He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,
so he opened not his mouth.
.
mas não abriu a boca;
et non aperuit os suum;
sicut ovis ad occisionem ducetur,
et quasi agnus coram tondente se obmutescet,
et non aperiet os suum.
.

ou qualquer outra arte;
falhou em todas.
Homero ? Hesíodo ? Pigres ? Aristóteles ?

ἐπάμεροι: τί δέ τις; τί δ᾽ οὔ τις;
Creatures of a day! What is a man?
What is he not? A dream of a shadow
What is he not? A dream of a shadow

All other things partake in a portion of everything,
while Nous is infinite and self-ruled, and is mixed with nothing,
but is alone,
itself by itself.

Into the same river we both step and do not step.
We both are and are not.
