Ἡράκλειτος

Ποταμοῖσι τοῖσι αὐτοῖσι ἐμβαίνομέν τε καὶ οὐκ ἐμβαίνομεν, 

εἶμέν τε καὶ οὐκ εἶμεν.

Into the same river we both step and do not step. 

We both are and are not.
